The Alunmi website is primarily aimed at current and former students of Central and North Metropolitan TAFE, to enable them to connect and remain in contact with lecturers and other students (current and former). The website will enable members to keep track of where former students are and what they are doing in industry, and provide a facility for those students to share their experiences.
Heritage Walks is a combined frontend Android application and web-based backend server that will contain a series of heritage trails, which will each contain a series of individual locations. The intention of the application is to allow for users to more easily access information about various heritage trails and their associated stops without needing to go out of their way to pick up a physical map.
Wayfinder is an events location system showing current and future events for TAFE. The mobile application provides information on where an event is occurring, when it is occurring and the events duration. Using each buildings floor plan to indicate the exact location. It gathers the information from a web back-end developed specifically for managing information for the events, locations, buildings, and campuses
North Metropolitan TAFE wishes to ensure that prospective students have the relevant background knowledge and skills prior to commencing the Diploma courses. Offering a question and answer qualifier will ensure they have the relevant background knowledge. Individuals that have come from the industry and are only seeking the academic certification will use the Skillset qualifier to find out if they have gaps in their knowledge that requires filling, for example accessibility, mobile first and health and safety. If this is the case, then Diploma Skillset qualifier will recommend starting at the Certificate IV level.
